We absolutely loved our stay at Amit ji's. From the moment we entered the place till we left, we were in the presence of divine energy. The stay is located on Mt. Manikut, close to one of the most sacred Shiva temples. Amit ji personally received us and gave a mesmerising tour of the Earthship Himalayan house, a perfect blend of serenity, modern comfort and love. Every corner of the house is blessed with brightness and positivity. The house on the cliff makes you feel as if you're floating between sky and land, in mother natures gentle embrace. Sunitha didi pampered us with delicious food. Misaki ji's joyful energy, humble smile and restorative yoga session set a tranquil tone for our day, ensuring a lasting sense of peace throughout. The best surprise for us was Arya's presence, it filled our hearts with joy and love. Meditating in a natural cave is an experience best lived, not told ;) We were very lucky to have met this beautiful family and can't wait to come back :)

Where Sustainability Meets Spirituality
Earthship Homestay is more than accommodation — it is a living example of how humans can build in harmony with nature. Our earthship was constructed using rammed-earth tires, reclaimed wood, and traditional Garhwali methods, creating a structure that stays naturally cool in summer and warm in winter without mechanical heating or cooling.
Founded by Yogi Amitram, this retreat was born from a vision to offer travellers an authentic spiritual experience rooted in sustainable living. Every meal is organic and locally sourced. Every yoga session is taught with intention. Every detail — from solar energy to rainwater harvesting — reflects a commitment to the earth.

What Our Guests Say
The Earthship is an All Inclusive Experience; Amazing home-cooked meals served to your kitchen, relaxing quiet environment, yoga studio attached to the home, very special meditation cave, an opportunity to learn about alternative building practices and gardening, and wonderful hosts that openly share their knowledge and life with you. Other than a day hike to the pilgrimage temple ( which was wonderful), we spent our days emersed in the solitude of the home. We enjoyed the simple life structured around lovingly prepared delicious meals worthy of a cookbook.
Staying at Amit Ji's ashram was truly one of the best decisions I have ever made. This is not your normal air bnb experience... Instead it is something much much more! Amit has created a luxurious and tranquil space that allows one to recharge, reflect and escape the distractions of normal day to day life. The property is set high in the hills above Rishikesh and words can't begin to describe the amazing vistas throughout the property. Even more impressive than the stunning views is the story of how this property came to be. Amit and his team built the entire house using recycled materials which makes the experience that much more genuine and special. Lastly, Amit and his chef Sunita Didi were extremely welcoming and accommodating to all of my needs. They constantly checked in to make sure everything was going well and made my stay extremely comfortable. I couldn't be more grateful for this experience. Book your stay, you will be thankful you did!
This is truly a Himalayan home, isolated from busy, dusty, traffic-ridden rishikesh city. You have to earn your journey to the house through a long dirt road up and up on a hill, but when you arrive at his exclusive perch it's totally worth it. The house is roomy and peaceful with a beautiful outer yard with a bird's eye view of the ganga. Amitji has a simple but comfortable and familiar set up, which feels like home. Additional highlights include fantastic home-style veggie meals - clean and delicious, loving house staff and the perfectly peaceful surroundings. The property has other spiritual surprises that are best uncovered when you go there! Im so glad we chose to step away from Rishikesh's maddening crowd and into this abode.
Beautifully designed home with Great location and superhosts. The ever changing panoramic views of Rishikesh and Ganga river are mesmerising. Great stay for those looking for peace of mind. The experience is further enhanced by yoga and meditation sessions given by the host family. The on-site caretaker is also very caring and joyful. Plenty of short hikes like half hr to famous Neelkanth temple. A short drive and another half hr hike will take you to Parvati temple and jhilmil cave. For someone with more appetite for nature hikes, a 3-4 hr hike down to Rishikesh through the beautiful forest is also amazing. All in all a good experience for someone looking for solitude and want to meditate in serenity.
We had a lovely stay at Amit's home. The Earthship architecture is amazing. The location is out of town so very peaceful and relaxing for those who'd like to unwind. Amit and family were lovely and attentive hosts who provided great veggie meals and even some yoga. Thank you!
Such a wunderfull place. Yogi G. is full of love. That is what we feelt every second of our time there. Yogi built up something magic there - straight out of his heart!
Amit has a very special experience he is offering. The most amazing views and the quality of food and attention to detail made us feel at home right away. My wife and I will return for years to come. Amit is family now... namaste
We had high expectations for our stay at the earthship house, and still those expectations were exceeded in every way. The property is beautifully serene, the house itself is exquisite — cosy yet luxe & well-appointed — and the hospitality from Amit ji was more than we could've hoped for. Plus the food was absolutely delicious. All in all, the perfect place to retreat and unwind from the high intensity of the rest of our Indian adventure.
Yogi Amitramji's home in Rishikesh is away from the maddening crowds of Rishikesh in the valley below, which is accessed by a dirt road towards the end. The house has been lovingly and painstakingly made using sustainable materials and Yogiji beautifully explains the architectural details and techniques used. There were so many cozy nooks, two lofts, a sun room, a picnic bench outside overlooking the valley, a glass yoga room and the breathtaking view from the master bedroom, which also has a balcony, where you can see Rishikesh begin to twinkle every night. The location and the house alone makes it value for money. The two bathrooms are comfortable, the mattresses are top quality, the comforters were nice and thick. We particularly enjoyed the home cooked meals served by Sunitaji. My only regret is that we chose to holiday on a very crowded weekend, which increased the travel duration from the airport significantly. We wished we could have spent more time.
